Attention HS Parents
Timberlake will join other area schools and release early today due to the potential of severe weather during afternoon routes. Both sites will release at 1:30. Please keep in mind that elementary routes to Nash and Nescatunga will wait on HS students to make it to Jet so they will leave Jet at approximately 1:45. Please contact the school as soon as possible if you need to make other arrangements so students are not home alone following school.
Due to the potential for bad weather tomorrow, the 4th grade field trip to the Science Museum of Oklahoma has been moved to Wednesday, May 8th.
Congratulations to all of our athletes that competed this weekend at State. Lilly Johnson made the podium for placing 2nd in the 300 M Hurdles and 6th in the High Jump. DJ Lauppe also made the podium by placing 5th in the Pole Vault.

To accommodate staff and students who would like to attend the Elementary Field Day on Monday, April 29th, the JH/HS will be releasing at 12:00. Students who live in Helena or drive will be released at 12:00. Any bus rider will be transported to the Elementary. Once we arrive in Jet, Jet students are free to stay and watch or walk home. Buses will run from Jet at the conclusion of the field day. Please call the JH/HS office with any questions.
Helena Community/Timberlake School Blood Drive is Wednesday, May 1st from 2:00 - 6:00.
From the OSSAA - Due to the weather outlook across the state and the chance for severe weather along with tornadoes, we have made the tough decision to move our Class A – 4A regional track meets to Monday, April 29th. We understand that this may create some conflicts, but we felt for the safety of the student-athletes, coaches, workers, and families that this was the best decision we could make.
With this being a school day, we will remain with the decision to run an all-timed finals for the running events. The field events will not change from the original schedule.

Due to the projected forecast of severe weather, the 8th / 9th grade Academic Team will not be attending the State competition tomorrow at Dale. We are hopeful that this will be rescheduled and we will post any information we are given. We are sorry for any inconvenience, but as always we feel that the safety of our students should come first.
