Are you ready for some football? The Tigers are scrimmaging Laverne at 6:00 pm tomorrow Friday, August 18th in Jet. As in years past admission will be a case of water or Gatorade and it can be left by the concession stand. Go Tigers!
Parents/Guardians of Timberlake Students:
Timberlake Schools will now be charging a usage fee for Chromebooks for 7th-12th grade students each year of $25 with a maximum of $50 per family. Due to the rising cost of repair costs, this usage fee will replace the Chromebook insurance we have previously offered. We will also not be charging this fee for elementary students. Collecting this fee will allow us to cover the increasing cost of repairs, but to also continue to provide new Chromebooks to students as they enter the 7th grade. The Chromebooks will stay with the same student each year. Our plan is to allow students to take their Chromebook with them when they graduate if they are paid up on these charges beginning with the upcoming class of 2024. Our hope is this will also motivate students to take better care of their Chromebooks.
Please send JH/HS student name(s) along with $25 for each JH/HS student. If paying by check, please make it payable to Timberlake Schools. Those of you that paid the usage fee in the spring or recently do not need to send an additional payment. Please contact the JH/HS office if financial assistance is needed.
In celebration of 30 years as Timberlake, Timberlake JH/HS is going to "Blame it all on my roots..." to begin the school year. If your family has Helena-Goltry roots, wear your orange and black tomorrow. If your family has Jet-Nash roots, wear your red and black tomorrow. If your roots are Timberlake, wear your black and silver tomorrow. Let's celebrate our history while we look forward to a great school year.
Class schedules for JH and HS students will not be passed out tomorrow at Open House. Schedules can be viewed by going to the Guardian Portal and selecting your student. If you have issues finding it, we will be glad to help you on Tuesday night.
Due to the overnight rain, today's softball games have been moved to Drummond. Bus will leave Helena at 2:45, JH starts at 4:00, and HS will play immediately after.

Congratulations to our Lady Tiger softball team for bringing home 4th place in the Cherokee Strip Conference Tournament. Henzley Thomas was selected for the All Tournament Team. Congratulations girls and coaches!
We apologize for the inconvenience, but the health department is not allowed to transport the immunizations needed for daycare and pre-k. They do have the shots required for 7th grade. We wanted to share that in hopes of saving a trip for those affected.

This is a reminder that physicals and immunizations will be provided to Timberlake students at no cost tomorrow from 10 am to 1:00 pm at the high school in Helena. Parents must have filled out and signed the physical form in order to receive a physical. Parents must accompany student for immunizations. Students missing the required immunizations for KG and 7th grade will not be able to attend school until those are up to date by state law.
If you have not completed the enrollment process, please do so ASAP or reach out to the appropriate school site for assistance. Students will not be allowed on routes or to begin class until the enrollment process is complete.

Please do not use school athletic fields for sports they are not intended for. For example, the football field as a driving range. Much time and effort is put into making those fields the best they can possibly be for our athletes. Thanks for your help in this matter.

If you have completed enrollment online, you are not required to attend enrollment today or tomorrow. JH and HS students completed pre-enrollment forms last spring. Schedules will not be available at enrollment. If you have any questions, Mrs. Pecha will be available to answer those for you.
Also, faculty and staff are strongly encouraged to use our new communication tool EDURooms this year. If you need assistance in getting signed up or logged in there will be someone at enrollment to assist you.
Online enrollment for the 2023-2024 school year has been opened up for returning students. Information about online and in-person enrollment is available on the school website and can be accessed at https://www.tlake.k12.ok.us/page/enrollment. We strongly urge all families to complete the free and reduced meal application during enrollment. This application can be accessed at the same place as online enrollment by selecting the Lunch Room Application tab. Again, please refer to the above link for instructions and details regarding enrollment.
Reminder: the first session of no cost sports physicals is tomorrow at Helena. If you signed up, simply show up at the time you signed up for. If you have not signed up, please do so by 1 pm today and I will send them the updated list at that time. Many of you have already downloaded the new app to access the student and guardian portal. Enrollment is not open yet, but I would encourage all parents/guardians to download the app and make sure you can log in with Google or with your username and Password you've used previously before enrollment is open. If you already have a log in, you do not need to request a new account, just use your previous log in. I encourage you to sign in with Google as that will be the easiest if you have gmail. If you prefer to use Google and you are unable to log in, please email debbiecrissup@tlake.k12.ok.us or tdayton@tlake.k12.ok.us, and we will attach your gmail to your user ID. You can still access the portal via the school web site under check grades if you prefer that method. Please check your log in before enrollment so that we can resolve any log in issues. We will post when enrollment officially opens.
