Kent Chesser, a retired H.S. history teacher came to visit the 6th grade today. Mr. Chesser’s father, Dempsey Chesser, was in WWII and served as military police for the United States Army. His troop followed General MacArthur and was also responsible for guarding bridges and helping with the cleanup of the war including concentration camps. Mr. Chesser brought artifacts from WWII and recounts of history as told from his father. The 6th grade has learned greatly from this unit and appreciates Mr. Chesser for sharing real life accounts of WWII.

🏀 The Medford JH basketball tournament is just around the corner! Check out the brackets and get ready to cheer on our Tigers! Let’s go, Tigers! 💪 #GoTigers #BasketballTournament

Timberlake routes and classes will start 1 hour late tomorrow to allow routes to begin after sun up. Breakfast will be available.

The basketball games for tonight have been rescheduled for Saturday, February 1st with time to be determined.

Timberlake will be taking a snow day tomorrow due to dangerous road conditions that are unlikely to improve overnight.

We have been continually checking on roads throughout the day and the drier snow has not posed any issues. That is starting to change in the norther part of our district. Due to how late notice this is, elementary routes will run as scheduled but will be safe and take their time. HS drivers that are concerned about their drive home have been released to drive home and routes from the JH/HS may leave a little ahead of schedule. Activities and after school practices have been cancelled.
